Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how CricLogs (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile applications and related services (the “Service”). By using CricLogs, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Phone number — used as your sign-in identifier. We rely on Firebase Phone Authentication, which sends a one-time SMS code to verify your number.
- Profile data you provide — display name, profile picture, batting/bowling preferences, team and tournament memberships.
- Match content — matches you score, ball-by-ball events, players you add, teams and tournaments you create or join.
- Contacts — only when you explicitly tap “Add from Contacts” to invite teammates. We read contact name and phone number to surface the picker; we do not upload your address book.
- Camera and microphone — captured only while you are actively broadcasting a live stream you initiated. Not accessed at any other time.
- Device and diagnostic data — app version, OS version, device model, crash logs, performance metrics, and aggregated product analytics. We do not collect the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA).
2. How we use information
- Authenticate you, sync your matches across devices, and deliver match notifications.
- Operate the live broadcast pipeline to your chosen destination (e.g., YouTube).
- Diagnose crashes and improve performance and reliability.
- Detect and respond to abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for cross-app or cross-site advertising tracking.
3. Sharing
- Firebase (Google) — provides authentication, database, crash reporting, push notifications, and analytics. Data is processed under Google’s Cloud Platform and Firebase terms.
- YouTube — when you start a YouTube live broadcast, your stream and the metadata you supply are sent to YouTube under YouTube’s terms.
- Service providers — vendors that help us operate the Service under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Legal compliance — when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the Service.
4. Your controls and rights
- Delete your account — open Settings → Delete Account in the app. We confirm with a one-time code, then permanently remove your profile, your authentication record, contacts you imported, and personal device diagnostics. Shared content (matches scored together with other players, public team and tournament records) is retained so other participants’ statistics remain accurate.
- Sign out — available from Settings → Sign Out.
- Permissions — revoke camera, microphone, or contacts access in iOS or Android system Settings at any time.
- Block and report — every player profile and broadcast can be reported, and you can block users so their content does not appear in your feeds.
- Data export or specific deletion — email [email protected].
5. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed to provide the Service or to meet legal obligations. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed promptly; backups are purged on a rolling 30-day cycle.
6. Children
CricLogs is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
7. International users
CricLogs is operated from India. By using the Service from another jurisdiction you consent to the transfer of your data to India and to processing under Indian law and our service providers’ jurisdictions.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest with our cloud providers, and strict access controls. No system is perfectly secure — please use a unique device passcode and keep your phone number secure, since anyone with access to your OTP can sign in as you.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
